01
Assessment Adaptations to Support Relationship-Building
This initiative began with a seed grant from Digital Promise and OpenSciEd and forms the core of Assidere's mission. Collaborating closely with a local school district, we united students, teachers, district leaders, and community partners, and in a dynamic co-design process. The project resulted in innovative tools and professional learning resources tailored to the unique interests and identities of local school communities. These materials foster relationship-building, support educators, and effectively leverage AI tools for more efficient assessment.
02
District Science Assessment Toolkit
Developed in collaboration with California’s NGSS Collaborative and the San Diego County Office of Education, this version of the Toolkit is now in its third year of implementation in Colorado. To meet the unique needs of educators and leaders across the state, the Toolkit has been delivered through flexible formats, including in-person workshops, virtual multi-day retreats, and an ongoing virtual PLC throughout the school year. This year’s implementation will inform updates to the original materials, integrating valuable lessons learned to further enhance their impact. The initial Toolkit development and Colorado implementation is supported by the Learning Policy Institute.

03
Washington Science Assessment Grounded in Equity (SAGE)
A two year collaborative project with state leaders and educators focused on centering equity in classroom assessment. The project included working with an educator advisory committee to guide the work, regular planning meetings with state leaders, 2 face-to-face professional learning workshops, a 2 weekend virtual task design retreat, and a virtual school-year PLC.

Contextus
Designed in response to requests by state science leaders, this website was designed by SPA-LC collaborators as a repository for high quality assessment resources that support a Framework-aligned vision for science assessment. Many of the tools hosted here, serve as the foundation for updated tools and processes developed for Assidere.
